To me, this is not a question I ask myself. It's not important what I think - it's important if my pet is happy with what she does. If she loves pulling sleds - okay with me. She doesn't understand what I like most of the time, so why should I understand what she likes?

Does a man enjoy going to work and digging a ditch? I do know dogs and horses both enjoy activity and excersize (couch potatoes take note). My horse never had to "work" for a living nor my dogs either...

My ponys and horses work for a living, so yes, they do work, and sometimes hard. The pony pulls a cart and the horses ride. All of them work enthusiastically and with a far better ethic than most hired help these days! Ponies can easily pull their weight, and sometimes even more! Ponies, and miniatures, are actually stronger, pound for pound, than draft horses. Ironically, drafts are per pound weaker than any other class of horse. But, they have a LOT more pounds!
