personaly i am sex RP all the way but i am 50/50 and willing to try a normal PM RP

*Cough.* Prepare for a full on rant.

No sex RP is way better.
It allows a bigger freedom to post your character's movements, expressions, actions, needs, desires, wishes and so on. If you throw in yiffing it's pretty much the same every time. Once you've done it once, you've done it all, more or less.

I also like how you can go really REALLY in depth with a nonsexual roleplay. It's the PG13 roleplays that advance your character and helps it develop, and it's what has, for me, always been much more enjoyable than actually yiffing.

Then again, I do admit, that sprinkling a healthy amount of yiff (that means a tiny amount) in an RP can quite liven it up. Though RPs based purely on sex are boring.

You use your brain much more when roleplaying in an open environment where anything can happen, and your character usually acts more natural, as if he was actually alive, in one of those.


It comes down to personal opinion, though. What I said here will and CAN'T be what you all would say. We are all unique in our own ways, and quite frankly, I wouldn't like you guys to be in any other way.

I agree with equine, Yiffing can be a nice spice but having the story line etc.. Is proberlly the main thing i look for in a rp. If it leads to sex then so be it. IF it doesn't im fine with it.

I won't vote, because I can't choose 'both'.
Both are fine. Which is better for me depends on my moods and the others in the Roleplay.
Note that with the 'others' I don't mean it dends on them, more like it depends on the theme and if everyone has fun.
As long as those two factors are coming together, both RP's are fine.

I think non-sex rp's are the best.

This because you get more out of them generally. You can get lots of action in non-rp's as in fight scenes, romance (without sex), and heat of the moment decision making! You can go anywhere, where you are limited to few placed to have sex, if you think about it. Plus, if you have sex you don't get the fun of having special talents, skills, etc!

You can express your different emotions in the moment, you can give details on your movements, actions, and make the world come alive for you.

What do you get in a sex rp that compares to that? Heated passion which is actually just lust because you're horny? Then what happens when you eventually do orgasm or whatever? It just ends, and with non-rp you can continue when one road ends and follow another!

To be compleately fair, sexual RP can be fun with some, and crap with others, and non sexual works the same. It just depends on the people your with and how it plays out before you take any step to any level in any RP.

If the things based aroun something stupid like getting back at someone, then it aint worth it. RP's are about fun, and what you find fun is what you do, thats just how the world works.

The wrong time during RP's for yiff screws everything up, kinda like what blockbuster movies end up doing, they become predictable, and soon people want a change.

If your not in the mood for it, its not worth doing it for now, as simple as that.

So I'm 50/50. Not specific enough for me.

non-sex rp for me

i rp to let my mind expand and my character's thoughts and actions meld with thoughs of others to make a great story. i'm not completely against sex in rp, on the contrary i think it is a good way to spice things up when there is a lul in the action but to base an rp on sex alone seems to deminish the rp experience somewhat.

(i do enjoy reading the tails in the story section though)

r.p i do tend to allways be or lead to sex XD...i`ve done it without sex,but can bring a lil issues..like fighting,war..and character streingths..and my r.p has to work decently with my own stories...i dont r.p too much though

I voted Sex, because it adds a little flavor to some RP's, but the best are ones with a great story and good posters too

I might've voted Sex RP on this,but... I think No sex RP's are a bit freer. Eventually, all sex RP's end with "pump pump" or "lick lick". The only variation is the foreplay. And seeing as how most people have their own certain fetishes, even the foreplay is less free. So...No sex RP's allow the creative juices to keep flowing.

I'm fine with both RP types even if most of the ones I'm in are normal rp's so no sex or if the story should lead by any chance to that 9only on PM or MSN...

I can't vote because I don't have a preferance. I like all kinds of rps. I like pure sex rps, part sex part other stuff rps, and also rps that are purely things like exploration. Heck, I'm the one who started that 'Mystic Chronicle' thing that got abandoned a year or so back.

Non-sex RPs have the potential to be better, but it's really all about who you're RPing with.
