Well, as is always the case:

Get thee to a Doctor, man!

What do we know? Could be a bit too much hand action with a lubricant intended for laundry; could be the dreaded "Drop-off Disease"-- (It falls off in your hand). :o

The internet is no place to get a diagnosis.

(You don't have to say "I've only had sex with the dog", the more general "I've only been with my Bitch" should cover it......)

Seriously-- the doctor can't tell you've done the bitch. Take a shower and get an exam. Tell him about your jerk-off details if he thinks he needs to ask.

Not a bad idea to take your dog to the vet if she seems in any way less than healthy, too. The vet can't tell anything either, unless you've been awfully rough.... (So don't be!)

I'm glad I read this thread even though I know my allergies are too severe to ever be with a dog. I'm on 8 types of medications for my allergies and its still not enough to keep all my symptoms away.

It will be okay for the minor things like petting a dog or cat, and to keep my nose unstuffed and eyes from watering. But as soon as I get a scratch or saliva on me my skin breaks out and my breathing gets limited. If I'm not on my medications at all then I can't even be near animals with out my lungs starting to close. There have been a few times where I've gone into anaphylactic shock and had to be Epen'd or taken to the hospital.

It's very frustrating for me to have the desire to be with a dog. There's immunotherapy but its a five year course, extremely expensive and I'll still possibly have reactions.

I've thought of maybe being licked but having saran wrap to cover my actual skin, but with my luck it wont work or tear. disaster will ensue. :(

Very informative & useful, thanks!

Incidentally, in the UK the more readily available over the counter antihistamines are chlorphenamine (Piriton or shop own-brand), cetirizine (Benadryl, Piriteze, Zirtek or shop own-brand) and loratadine (Clarytin or shop own-brand) - personally speaking and also on the recommendation of a number of friends loratidine seems to be the one which causes the least drowsiness -_-

As for steroid creams, the only ones available over the counter (unless there's shop own brand ones hiding away!) are Dermacort; Eurax Hc; Hc45; Lanacort and Zenoxone, but as these all contain different strengths of hydrocortisone it might be better to discuss with the pharmacist as to which strength they would recommend depending on where on the body the cream is needed (NEVER use a strong steroid cream on the face unless prescribed by a doctor!!)
