Sorry it took me so long to notice this reply ms dee and hydrocortisone cream was exactly the term I was looking for as opposed to anti histamine cream. Cortisol is the common cream sold over the counter here. I find Aloe Vera gel equally effective if not more so, as it has an instant cooling effect and alleviates any sting ranging from an allergic reaction; minor burn to the tingling of a spanked bum ! :whistling: Stored in the fridge it's cooling effects work even better. It's also freely available over the counter and in health shops. In relation to anti histamine tablets .... Piriton is probably the cheapest and just effective; Clarityn, Aller-eze and several other brand names are readily available over the counter ..... A gentle reminder ...... anyone who has asthma or that is on prescription medication for any illness should always check with their pharmacist that over the counter remedies will not interfere with the medication they are taking. There are several common cold and flu remedies I'm not supposed to take as an asthmatic. Hope this is of some use ;) |

One of the things that makes me a Forum Fan is the quality of the technical information it provides. Many thanks Ms Dee. Your insight and knowledge is impressive and deeply appreciated.

You mention that you can test it by putting it on your arm over night, I was also told that I can test it by tasting some of the dogs cum and if it irritates my throat then i am alergic. Is this a true and safe way to test it, since my friend almost died during his first and only experience with a dog.

My husband recently got his blood tested for allergies. One of his allergies is to dog epithelia.
Will this have an affect on him if we have sex when there is dog saliva and/or semen in or on my vagina? |

I think testing a reaction by seeing if your throat gets irritated is a REALLY bad idea. You could have a severe allergic reaction and your throat could close, which would be quite unpleasant. Your best bet would be to put it on your arm overnight as previously suggested. |

One of my friends thought he was allergic after one experience with his dog. He had full allergic symptoms but it turned out that he wasn't. He had given his dog flea medicine about a day before and apparently that was the cause.

Oral testing …. Mucus membranes (inside the mouth, the vagina, and the anus) are very absorbent. So I would not suggest it as a method for testing. What I would like to know is if your friend had a history of allergies to other things. Most people that have allergies, do not usually have an allergic response to just one thing. Their system is hyper responsive. So, following that line of reasoning… do YOU have allergies ? |

:clapping: Great topic and well worth pinning! :clapping:
I have never had any allergic reactions myself but then I don't believe I am allergic in any huge way to anything thankfully. I am just glad that we have BF to be able to bring all this knowledge together and wonderful posters like Ms D and others to share it with us! Epithelia are skin cells. Most people when they have an allergic response to animals, are allergic to “animal dander” another word for skin cells. It may have an effect on him to have intimate contact with you after had intimate contact with a dog. For vaginal or anal contact, one could use a condom; oral contact would be another issue. One other thing you might want to look at is the degree of the allergy. The tests are usually graded that way. You can also enquire about having desensitization shots. If you learned to give the injections at home it would decrease the over all cost. Some allergists also have a preparation that is used by placing drops under the tongue. Very often, your insurance company will not cover this type of treatment. IF your husband will be treated for other allergies, then you might be able to get the canine component added for a decreased cost. Today because we have access to more antihistamines, ones that are “non drowsy”, there has been a trend to just treat allergies with medication. Desensitization is used more often for allergic reactions to allergens that are unavoidable, or ones that cause an anaphylactic response. |

i've read through this thread, but just to clarify...
if you know you have animal allergies (probably allergic to just the dander, but being around animals you're not normally around causes asthma attacks and typical allergic reactions like runny nose and sneezing) you're best off NOT trying any sort of penetration without some type of barrier method if possible. am i right? because i was curious about this since i am allergic to animals and pretty much everything under the sun |

I just joined beastforum and have had a near death experience with my first breeding by a black lab in September of 2007. I was knotted up and enjoying the experience for about 10 minutes when I had to get off my knees because I was being fucked on a hard-wood floor without any cushioning. I pulled myself off the huge know (which was really painful) and immediately began sneezing. I then because nauseated and asked my "sponsor" to help me to the restroom. I then passed out. I was out only briefly and told my host I had to go home, but passed out again. I heard him yelling at me that he was going to call an ambulance. Fortunately, he did. When EMS arrived and took my blood pressure, it was 54 over nothing. I was rushed to the hospital. I could hear everyone yelling at me, but could not respond. When they took the sheet off me, someone exclaimed that my entire body was red. About that time, my "host" came in and explained that shortly after arriving at his home, I started sneezing then passed out. The doctor immediately started injecting benadryl and steroids in me. Three hours later I was released after my blood pressure came back to normal.
I was hoping to be bred again, but, after reading this post, guess I better forget it! |
