Actually, if your body is functioning properly, you should not be able to urinate if you are erect. The body (all mammals as far as I know) closes off the urinary tract to prevent urine from entering the penis just before mating. Urine kills spermatozoa, and can irritate the female tract significantly.

Uh, it shoudn't be an issue if you can urinate while erect... I think everyone can. If urine is mixed in with semen during ejaculation then the inner valve is probably messed up, but simply going to the bathroom when erect isn't. Horses do it just fine. If i get an erection in the morning and really have to piss i can sit down and do it. I would almost say it depends on arousal level, but even then it is possible... there are some times when I would push and nothing happened, but if I focused on urinating I was never unable to.

Horses never urinate while erect except in rare cases where they urinate in their ejaculate (urospermia). They urinate while DROPPED, not erect :) Normal males can not urinate while erect unless they train themselves to do so. The natural system works hard to prevent it.

You are both right and wrong. A man can urinate while erect, however it has more to do with muscle control than anything else. If you do some research you will find that urinating while erect then also having the control to start and stop the flow does in fact increase orgasmic intensity in men. I know I have practiced this for years and there are times when I will make myself erect just to practice, but I must say the pay off is wonderful :D

A morning erection is actually the way the male body promotes the health of the penis, due to the nature of the organ blood flow to that area is generally limited in order for the body to basically keep the penis alive it increases the blood flow to the area while other parts of the body are asleep. This hasn't been completely proven yet as most physicians have yet determined the exact cause of the morning erection but it is believed to be one reason. Other studies suggest it is also closely related to REM sleep.
