I was wondering if anyone knows of a good mpeg joiner? I see a lot of the movies posted here are in hjsplit format or posted as individual viewable chunks, how can I join these chunks? Sorry if this is off topic, mods feel free to move this to an appropriate section.

well it depends on what os you are using, on unix systems (mac os x, linux) it is as easy as:
'cat file.mpg.00 file.mpg.01 file.mpg.02 > file.mpg'

for windows you would have to google for it :-)

For windows you can use windows movie maker, freeware

If you take a moment to check out "The Stickies" :read the rules: you'll find pinned Topics that are devoted to Downloading and Rejoining split files. HJSplit is available as a free download from many shareware sites..just google 'HJSplit" to find it. Also, if you read "The Rules" :read the rules: you will get direction on which Topics belong in which Section.

As long as the topic is still here I'll answer the question. Depending on what it was split with you can use MPEG Joiner to join most of them... ;)
