this is a two part question .if somthing were to happin to you do you have a plane as to ware your animal partner would go .second ,would you let your partner go to another zoo .or would you never r-i-p ,knowing some one else was having sex with your better half .thanks mop. :D

Nope don't have a plan for my post mortem care of my animal. I don't think that far ahead. But generally if you animal is well schooled, in terms of his sexual behavior, he should be able to go a normal household. The only real difference should be is if any in the new house were so inclined to experiment, they would suddenly and inexplicably find the dog to be unusually smart in that area.

Do I have a plan if something were to happen to me? No, but I have an idea. Could I let her go to the home of another zoo? Only one I would trust to NOT have sex with her. A friend who would respect me enough to follow my last wish to take care of her, but no sex.

Hmmmmm ........ haven't planned that far ahead but then us 38 year olds think we're invincible! ....... *smiles*.

In practical terms noone springs to mind who could take him just as a normal, healthy, happy dog ... and of course noone but me outside this forum knows of his other possibilites .....

Nothing set in stone as yet, but I've made it known to my family that the breeder of the girl I've had since a pup is to be involved in any re-homing.

I'm considering writing something into my will so their keep will be paid for out of my estate.

That's actually one of the reasons I don't have a pet right now. Not that I'm concerned about dying anytime soon. It's just that I'd like to have a horse but I'm terrified that I something could happen that would force me to have to give her up (if I got laid off or injured at work) and I don't think I could do that. It would break my heart to let her go, and I'd be worried constantly that she was being treated well and cared for properly, and not shipped off to a slaughterhouse. I couldn't live with myself if something like that happened. If I ever do get one, I'll be sure to make my wishes clear if I should die before she does.

If I die, Buddy would go to either my folks or Beth. I think both would take good care of him...

I know that my dogs will be well taken care of in case of my death...something with the way things are with me that I have to consider. I figured that it was something that you probably had someone to take care of your dogs as well...glad that it didn't come down to that.

My guide dog will return to the school for rehoming. My lover will be cared for by family members none of shom are zoos.

That choice has been taken away form me. The place where my health has forced me to reside dictates "NO PETS", but they can not take away my thoughts and memories.

i would only let my animal go to another zoo if it was my partner. other than that no i would give it to someone else
