Good thing he's a GSD mix, then, isn't it? (That's my story and I'm sticking to it....... ) Can't imagine that the rabies vac. wouldn't work just fine. The one I use is approved for dogs, cats, horses, sheep, cattle, etc., but doesn't say wolves...... :pinch: |

I raised sheep and goats for many years… and as a woman posting on the poll thread I have no interest in sheep and or goats sexually. However that being said, words of caution … female goats are small, great caution should be observed to prevent damage. A word of caution also to placing a sheep or goat on their backs, especially when they have been eating…Which is almost constantly. Doing that does make them … more docile but not for the reason you may think, it is because they have trouble breathing… and it is possible to cause torsion of their guts.. For more information on Sheep and Goats… and caring for them…click the link below. Care of Sheep and Goats |

All ruminants, by definition, have a huge "forestomach" full of half-chewed forage. Putting pressure on their belly can push this up the throat, into the airway. They Die. While more likely on their back, it can also occur standing, if pressure is applied. Personally, I highly recommend planning ahead, and putting her in a stall 12 hours or so ahead of time, with restricted intake. Obviously, you can't do so if she's not your critter. No fencehopping--don't threaten other people's animals..... |
