Hi, Straight male, 60, I live in close to Murray Bridge in a normal house block in town, no dog but it would not be impossible for me to have one and would get one if someone showed the devotion necessary to necessitate it. I have no desire to become the sleazy guy that wants to take advantage of a situation but having said that I make no bones about wanting to observe. This forum is a great idea as it is getting harder to find an unspayed male dog in the metropolitan area and it is not something you can walk up to people walking their dogs and talk about.

Well a couple of days of observation tells me plenty of people look at this thread. Are we going to remain a lot of individuals that keep watching what everyoneelse is doing and sitting back wishing, wanting and then too complacent to help ourselvrs or do we do something positive. Positive is commitment and that is pretty scary so I guess we all sit back with our wishlist and watch life go by. I propose a few people post a day and time and a place where something might happen and see who can make it and I'll start. I nominate out front of the State Library with a view to wandering down to the Royal Adelaide Hospital Kiosk to get lunch and talk as we go and while we eat, this obviously is best done at or around midday. You never know, something positive could come out of it but at least there is no pressure and and no harm could come to anyone at that time and in that place. I'll start the ball rolling, Wednesday the 23rd of January.

Well I've kept an eye on this for a couple of weeks and there's lots of observers and a few postings but nothing that indicates any particular person wants to get together with any others. I guess we all die as individuals that wanted something and never got it and never broke the ice for anyone for the future either. We either won't commit or getting what we want is just too hard.
