Our K9 boy is now 8 months old and has been a good licker and has tried
to mount. We work with him regularly. Back in July he found "a" mark not the one
I would have wanted him to find but he found one. He tied with me and with his inexperience he pulled out to quickly and caused some discomfort. Since then we have had tried to work with him some and finally the night before last He DID it.
He found the right "mark" and we had a great time. Again last night He found the "right" mark. I could not be happier that he is finally getting it right. We have tired to take is slow and follow his natural curiosity and interest and now he seems to be finally getting the connection. I was surprised by the amount of dog cum there was. I have seen movies and pics but I guess it's just one of those you have to see and experience for yourself to really get the idea.

Great to hear he is figuring everything out. At eight mo. I would think that would be a little early--but I guess dogs are like people, some mature earlier than others and some mature later than others. Also probably has some to do with how much you work with him. My lab is not quite 7 months and didn't think he would even consider mounting till around a year. Maybe there is hope of him starting earlier!!! :P :w00t: :P

You have my sincerest congratulations - lucky you, and very lucky pooch. It is wonderful that you can train him at his young age without his having had a dog bitch. This way he will surely grow into a wonderful lover. Let us know how he progresses.
