At least under 25 posts.... we had to thank them.

I realize there were probably a lot of complainers... I mean, there are just a select few people I see consistently replying in how-to and zoophilia... maybe 25-50, i can name many of them, and those seem like the two bigger forums for people to be able to make constructive posts... im sure people post in others, but those that didn't want to contribute, even posts, were probably quite abit of people, but the 25 post thing just makes sense, it shouldn't just be limited to pics/vids, posts contribute help and advice to prevent/help people from doing something they shouldn't, give ideas, etc etc.

Also, it isn't fair to say we have ourselves to blame, the leechers who didn't want to contribute anything seem to of had more of an effect on this then people who were content to make posts.

By the way, I still don't know if ULs to fur.ry count as contributions....

I know what you mean and that is fine... something should have been done, but constructive posts no longer count. To me, that says, "we only want the goods"... the post requirement got people to get out there and throw IDEAS around.... and not be just concerned with getting all the pron they could.

You can't post url's to outside sites, if that's what your asking. But art uploaded to the furries section does earn credit. Provided of course a moderator doesnt delete your submissions.

Alright then. Well, then, I do have a means to contribute.... no way of knowing when that well will dry up for me.

people that post material on the forum can download 2:1 - so they can download others material if they want too ...

"And guess what ? If nobody has to say "thank you" or "you get 10" or " I like your work" anymore, then I think, the number of people, who post pics and vids will fall, cause you can download, but don´t have to thank for it...take, but you don´t have to give anything."

People posted tons of material in the past - so why should this suddenly stop? And people still say thank you and post constructive posts on the forum ... :)

Yes but I guess admin just got tired of constantly having to field complains and questions about the 25 post rule. Perhaps the mods were also tired of the constant posts made incorrectly, all over the forum asking about and/or complaining about the new rule.

You can't satisfy everyone. For instance, the 25 post rule actually hurt long time, contributing members. I for instance have always said thank you and gave positive feedback to those who uploaded material. Now I had to make 25 decent posts to download too. Why should we who've consistently contributed have to post 25 decent posts just to download.

So I applaud the revoking of the 25 decent post rule.

link please? Seriously, it's the only means I have to contribute, and it is an uplaod to the forums that is rate-able. Oh well. It would be interesting if todays free downloads were worth seeing.

Let me sum up why we decided to do what we have done:

The 25 posts scared away a lot of people - ok, leechers never the less, but still members. Not all are familiar with posting and/or dare to open themself up to the community - perhaps they will in the future, perhaps not .. who knows?

And then there is the way of determining how a post was "decent" - it did cause some problems and it is impossible for us to tell a poster exactly what is needed in order to make a post "decent" - why? Once one knows all the leechers and cheeters knows and they will do whatever they can do to make 10+ accounts so they can download tons of material from here ... (actually the leechers and cheaters are the main reasons why we have to change things from time to time).

"Releasing" 2-3 topics every day for all defies the people that have made several accounts - they can still only download the same 20-30 downloads no matter how many accounts they have. And people that are just here for curiosity and don't wish to/can't make 25 decents posts still gets a bit of free material.

So I would say that it's an overall win/win situation for most of the forum users - ofcause some will bitch and moan about this ... but it's almost impossible to please all members :mellow:

Whatever I'll just jump on the bandwagon, I got a good deal of stuff to contribute, specially furry art.

Why did the free stuff have to be from just those sections?
