After spending a nice sunny day driving the local country side I've come to the conclusion moost of the male horses in my area have been Castrated. My question is, is it still possible to arouse the boys enough to get them to drop and play with?

Some geldings will "play" even after they've been cut-but this is rather rare. And it depends, on several factors; when they got cut; if the vet got all of the pieces [proud cut gelding]; if the stallion had bred mares before [they have memories of this, that for some, attempt to relive]. Generally speaking: no nuts, no sex.....

Uggh, You bring back bad memories with that word. I watched a stud get cut _once_ and that was enough for me. When the cords were cut, they _crunched_ and I nearly passed out. Then to top it off, the testicles were put in a bucket and before anyone could stop her, the vets dog ate them.
But to anwer your question, yes some geldings especially ones who were recently gelded (see? isn't that a nicer word?) can and will drop and even get hard for you. There was one in my barn who got real hard and seemed to enjoy the attention his penis got. It depends on the horse, some will and some won't. I've noticed thou, that as the horse ages, they seem to lose ALL interest and don't appreciate the attention at all. |

Just a lil ol' German Shep pup....not even 60 lbs. I bet. The colt was gelded at about 10 months. Yep, they were fairly big, but not too big for a hungry puppy. |

Very few are stallions and studs do not run togeather.
A word of cauation however.. Horses are skidish of strangers and horse owners are more skidish still.. Fence hopping is a bad business.. It brings hate down on the comunity as a hole. When you get hurt you will be a liability to the people you truspassed on. My horses are trained to avoid people if we are not there. There is enough power in any horse to through you in the air over a fence or shatter bone. Please do not make it into the papers.. It takes time to speek horse I am a retired Stud manager and know.. If you like horses learn to ride and speek to the frount first. I own 2 stallions and can lay down with one in his field. They are loyal friends I sleep with my dog however. Shurch some of my posts if you want for info.. Rus Equip You have to see a big horse cut. When you have to clamp the arterys so the horse does not bleed dangerously. Cut em early This post has been edited by rus80 on Jun 10 2007, 05:23 AM |
