While i was editting some settings i noticed we have the option of different skins for the forum. Well i had a look and we have the option of only one skin which is what we have at the moment. Would it be possilbe to have some more different skins. Me personally i would love a black scheme with crimson red outlining, and some white font or light blue or something but yeah. Is it possible to have some other ones :please:

If you use Firefox, there's an extension called Stylish that allows you to change any website design elements. I already had a black skin designed for the site, but I just changed the outlines to red (they were gray).

I attached a screenshot of it here. I have other styles including a gray one. If you like it, I'd be happy to tell you how you can use it :).

Thats pretty nifty thanks i might look into that. But even so it would just be nice to have them as choices in the options so others who dont use Firefox can change the style.

That's true, official skins make it easier for everybody, but I thought I'd speak up about the Firefox alternative, just to give the word that it's possible if you want it bad enough.

I'd offer to assist in working on an official skin, but I don't have the experience or knowledge of internal forum workings. Then again, having a base template of the existing default skin might offer enough guidance to make a new skin with minor changes.

I'm sure it would take a bit of work to get a full skin running. Changing color attributes using CSS properties is quite simple, since it's all text based, but creating or modifying a new image set to match the color scheme might end up consuming the most time.

I've used Firefox a long time now, I keep forgetting everything it's capable of. Speaking of which I need to re-install my mouse gestures, I'm lost without them  Thanks Zetter. Now I'm learning too.

they just need to be entered into the system by an admin. i used to have a invisionfree forum myself (this is invisionfree board for those who don't know. at least, the format is. did you guys just change all the code for logos? or are you paying for the premium version?) i agree though. i'm sorta sick of this blue.

I don't really like the fact either that there's only 1 skin but I just shut up and deal with it. Maybe someday one of the mods will impliment some new ones but until then, it's fine the way it is. B)

Huh. Funny you mention that. I have an internet addiction, and in my experiance, most invision boards have at least a few other options for skins. I've got a few boards myself, and I think the fewest skins available on any of them is 4. But then, that might just be because I have an internet addiction, and need an excuse to stay online late at night. Nothing wrong with some extra options for board skins, but it's hardly a make-or-break board feature.

Besides, what would the new background be? A giant horsecock? Kind of a shocker first thing in the morning. *grumbling about lack of coffee, checks e-mail.* HORSECOCK IN DA FACE!

It's not something I'm really coming here to look at, but perhaps some diversity wouldn't be too bad.
