The past few nights I went to this farm by where I live. It has cows and sheep. Unfortunatley the cows are all males which I'm not into. But there are some female sheep there. The only problem is when I try to get close to them they dart from me. There's 3 of them in a large play pen. But when I get close to them they run from me. I can't do anything. Then there is another one in a small pen. She's a pretty big sheep. But when I went in there last night she darted from me too. Straight into the wall of the pen. She even tryed to jump out. So after a few minutes of her running from me I said screw it. It wierd because in the pictures on this site of sheep they seem calm. What do people do, use tranquilizers or something?

I know what you mean!

I've not tried anything with sheep - it's not my thing - but the few times I've met up with them, apart from some at a Zoo friends farm which were VERY used to people, they've been extremely timid and impossible to get close to.

I expect people are going to tell you it takes long term getting to know them, being around them, feeding and talking to them...

I seriously doubt anyone on this board would endorse using any kind of tranquilizer in order to have forced sex with an animal.

Umm...If you use tranquilizers, it means the animal is not giving consent. It is the moral equivalent of slipping a woman a roofy in order to have your way with her. In other words it is NOT ON, and your situation here makes me all the more convinced that female animals either simply cannot or will not give consent to sexual interaction with human males.

They only have three sheep? Sounds like they could be pets.

I am a sheep owner (love my fuzzballs to pieces!) I have no interest in them sexually, and I own all ewes anyways, so I hope my advice helps.

Go to a farm supply store and purchase a sheep halter/lead rope. They are normally sold as one piece, offer the sheep grain or whole corn, some may even like bread, and they will come near you. Grab them carefully by the neck, trying not to tear the wool. Step over the sheep in a straddle position and put the halter on. Most sheep suddenly turn into an animal as gentle and quiet as a pet dog once they have their halter on :)

Remember that they are scared of you, and to treat them with kindness.

First mistake, theyre not your sheep to be messing with.
Taking that into consideration should give you your answer as to why theyre running from you.
Secondly, using drugs or tethering the animal so it cant escape is equal to rape in the eyes of myself and im sure many others in here so dont expect much in the way of positive reply's to that question. Now if your asking about whether of not they drug them for the movies they film, according to some sources, yes, some animals are drugged to make for a better "shot"

In answer to the "how" in your question, depends on the type of sheep. Tried it once myself at a zoo friends place and found out they were too tall to kneel behind, and 2 short to stand behind, gotta be a bit of a contortionist but the end result was fairly nice. (though ill stick with the mares thank you)

Not trying to put you down, so dont misunderstand, but fencehopping is a great way to:
A: get shot
B: end up on the news or in jail.

Fence hopping only gets you in a lot of trouble. Not only that you could be hurt, shot, killed, and other things, you also are setting a bad example for yourself and other zoos in general. So please...just don't do it. The news about people doing that is already out there and it gives the lawmakers another reason to make more laws against zoophiles.
Of course not every body who fence hops have sex with animals however. But the risks are just too great regardless. By the way try to explain to your doctor or the E.R. that you gotten half your nether regions bitten off or worst for messing around with an animal. (Not to scare you, but just letting you know).

Yeah fence hoping is not a good idea, useing a drug or tieing the animal up is a second strike aganst you on this site. Is getting shot really worth it?

Oh and by the way you will make every few to no friends on this site if you thinking about tieing the animal up and/or using drugs on it to get your rocks off. You should never force an animal to do anything with you. Its just wrong.

Tabby104 said it very good. Don't do it unless they are your property. Then, make friends with them so as to not need ropes, drugs, or any kind of restraints, only use some kind of feed as a restraint/pasifier/reward for the animal. That a way, you are using a kind of reward for good behavior for the deed that you are doing to it.

This still seems wrong. There is something about it which is crassly manipulative; it is effectively turning the sheep into a prostitute. If the animal really wanted to have sex, it would not need a food "reward" or "pacifier", it would be quite happy to have sex simply for the sake of sex, don't you think?

realy the best way to do this would be to get a lamb and hand raise it so that it gets used to you. I raised sheep for 6 years and never had a problem with my herd I guess what made mine so dosile was the fact that I raised them in my house since they where 2 hours old My herd consisted of bummers that the ewe couldnt take care of got most of mine from triplets and quads the ewes on my farm could only support 2 lambs not three or four. as for the "bribing" of the sheep or druging of or restraining of being a former sheep owner I do NOT approov of it at all!!

Regards Sheepfun

sorry bad spelling
