I wanted to start a new thread about the chat room as the other ones are obsolete with our new chat interface.. B)

If you havent visited us in the chat room please do .. you will find a community of friends there that you can chat real time with.. please read the rules before coming in.. it will save you a lot of grief and heartache later... :read the rules:

every time i log in to this chatoom my internet explorer chashes shortly after.
can you tell me why?

p.s. this problem started when this new chatroom opened

it seems that every time I try to open the chat room the sighn in page pops up even though I'm sighned in. just wondering what I'm doing wrong.

Have you got the latest version of Flash Player?

If you're using the new version of IE7 then I recommend you uninstall it and go back to v6 unless you are running a recent build of Vista.

okay... first things first.. please make sure you have the most up to date flash player.. I am currently using adobe's flash player .. version 9.0.16.0.. and I experience no problems with chat... I would suggest going to

adobe's website (click here)

and downloading and installing the must current player...

There needs to be some amendments made to the rules to encompass the new Whisper function, along the lines of what is required for PMing

Try logging out of BF then logging back in again so a new cookie is generated, then try it again as it sounds like your forum cookie isn't being recognised and your user/group details aren't being passed along to the chatroom software.

Since the install of the new chat room I could get in everytime. Today is says " can't conect to server". Hope this is temporary of do I need to change some thing?

No, try logging out and logging in again BUT make sure that the "Remember my details" box is checked.

That will then store the required cookie on your computer so that you can enter the chat.

That's probably where the problem lies.

for about a week now ive been having random problems getting into the forum and the chat...but mostly the chat.

everything loads then it just goes to a blank screen with all of the logos on top but nothing else.

ive tried EVERYTHING...rebooting, clearing cache, running a disk clean up program....you name it ive probably tried it.

im wondering if it is something on the forums end that is going on? im not complaining...just frustrated and curious.

i havent had issues today yet, but we will see lol. i have noticed that forum is running a lot faster though. so maybe its going to be fine. *crosses fingers*

I've noticed that with IE 7, but it clears up for me if I clear out all temp files and cookies, reload into BF then go to chat and it will work for a couple of times, then have to re-clear-out everything and repeat.

I don't think it's the chat program more a recognition issue with IE7 as you show the chat being on and open, but have no graphics.

not to be rude....im just having a little trouble understanding....you are saying you think its my browser?

it does the same thing in firefox too....but like i said so far so good today!
