How Much Do You Love Your Pet?, How do you view your relationship?

I am curious as to your answers. Personally I love my mare dearly and see her as my life long partener. I did, however, tell her I would marry her if I could and privately said some vows to her. Am I the only one? :inlove: :fool:

I love my dogs very much, and obsess over them. The thought of giving them up for any reason beyond when they are called over the rainbow bridge is not ever open for discussion.

I hear what you're saying Muttlieclue. But somebody who has a couple of heifers they are raising for market could enjoy porking them, or there could be others like me who have made a life-long commitment to their animal. I'm curious to see how others feel. :whistling:

I think that there are really two separate issues. One issue is that "we" feel it's okay to interract sexually with our animals. Another issue is how much we love them. I could see somebody who loved their animal with all of their heart and consider the animal their life-partener, who wouldn't necessarily think sex is okay. On the other hand, some farmer could have a flock of sheep and not care particularly much for any one animal, but could find them to be an enjoyable sexual outlet.

I just want to hear where others stand on these issues. I know there have been other threads, possibly another similar poll, but I have been around for a while now and I want to ask for myself!

I love my dog as much as a person, if not more.

Hey Shire, I have a Shire too! (but he's "just" a pet, and gelded)

I had to pick the last optoin, as i would marry my female shepard if i could, and in many ways I do consider us a couple, but i was tossed between that option and the life long partner, as she is that to as well, I will love her extreamly deeply for life, nothing in the universe will ever split us apart until that very sad day when she crosses that colorful rainbow bridge, where she will wait for me, hopefully not to long :P My love for my girl goes way beyond sex, it is the deepest kind of love, and it is a shared love. To me there is no better feeling that a deep mutural love between 2 souls.

I sort of agree with shireguy there many issues involved, but two main issues here, one, is it just sexual for you, or, two, are you committed to their love as a partner for the rest of their life. It's a pity that we age slower than our lovers.

i view my girl dog as life long partner till death .shes my friend ,lover ,my nurse when im sick or hurt there fore me when the world turns on me shes my every thing. :D

i fully agree with dawgz here there is know way i could give up my animals!

Id honestly give my life for my dogs if the situation arises. Thats about all i have to say about that.....

I am not a violent person but would kill to protect my pets from being intentionally hurt or stolen they are my love and I would die for them :inlove:

i totally love to cuddle, photograph, drag them along everywhere etc. i'm very lonely and i lack human contact so they're pretty much my only warmth. i have 2 cats too. i won't go as far as to value the life of an unknown animal higher than that of an unknown human but i love my pets very much!!

I love my dog very much,that is why I try and satisfy him at least 2 times a week.
He is my best friend also.
I play with him every day,not just sexually,and I try and take him with me when ever I go places.
