getting a 1 1/2 year old newfie, I have a lab mix of almost the same age plus I am getting a lab pup if all goes well. any sugestions or folks wanting to help train the newfie ,etc?

Hmm, well you don't say what sex the newfie is, nor what you want to do with it. For instance, did you need help training for water rescue or retrieving water fowl?

:sorry: hes male, sorry about leaving that out.with such a large dog any sexual training hints .the regular obedence stuff I am lining up. the faq's are good but I would like to find out more .

I'm sure I'd love to help train him! Just where are you going to keep all these dogs now? Don't answer that. ;) Anyhow. . .I knew an Akita once who's name was Nightfever. He was a very very energetic dog when it came to sex. You could tell by jacking him off just how hard and fast he humped and how long. And because he was too hard, and too fast. . .his owner did not let him be with anyone. . . .afraid he'd tear a hole in anyone who tried. ;) Hope that helps!

Well I would definitely read thru all the faq sheets furst. He's the right age to start educating about the birds and the bees. Beyond that you need to be more specific about what you expect from him in terms of performance and behavior. Are you asking for info on how to control his behavior in front of others, or other family members? Or are you asking for tips to successful coitus? What the best position is for a big dog, you see where I'm going? There are lots of people who can give good advice on this forum. But you also need to be more specific with your questions/situation.
