Ran across an artical while doing some off the wall surfing and ran into this. Im 99.44/100% sure this is where it goes, but if it doesnt't please forgive.

Its an article written by Pete Seger (introduced the world to the Mamas and Papas) asking the question "why shouldn't humans be allowed to have sex with animals?" other than the human laws, really whats there to stop us."

he states the case that the only real reason is based on the bible and the human laws were attemps to coencide whith them.

Pete Singer is somewhat of a celebrity though, so this was still a good post. As a Princeton professor and author, he's pretty well known and respected (by some, despised by others) in the university circuit.
He's extremely controversial for his views on this and other taboo subjects like euthanasia and infanticide. I don't agree with all his views, but he certainly makes you think.

Very interesting article bud! I really enjoyed reading it. The question of consent seems to come up. Well, animals act upon instinct. Are we taking advantage of that instict? I know a dog that trys to mount me but I can't let him, there's always other people around. :( So what does the dog do after he's not allowed? He plops down on the floor and sighs, "maybe next time" I know it, and I feel very bad for him, b/c I want to give that to him. :) I'm the one not giving consent. hehe :D Now with female dogs, do they give consent? I know they do when they are in heat. I know my dog wants to give it up to me when she wants to go on a walk. . .and she's spayed! I don't feel it right to mess with her, she thinks if she gives me sex, I'll take her on a walk. I trainned her into that accidently, b/c many times when I was with her, she'd get so excited afterwards and get super hyper. . .so i took her outside. So she tries to manipulate me with sex. . .clever girl! But it doesn't work on me. I just take her on a walk anyhow. she's my love. :wub: I believe full consent would be if she didn't want anything for sex in return, she just wants to get off. And sometimes before I goto bed, I've gotten myself off. . .and she'll bark at me and I'll ask her what she wants. . .and she wants to get off too. And she's a humper, let me tell ya!!! So yes, I believe animals give consent. :)

He's an animal rights activist, so part-way through he gets a shot in at chicken farming. Have a read and make up your own mind.
