I thought I would suggest this after a thread was removed today from the zoo section. Now I do kinda understand why this certain thread was removed (I think anyway) but I was wondering if there is any chance of putting a stickied thread in the zoo section just for any news stories realted to zoophilia and beastiality.
This would be a thread where members could find out about these stories as some may indirectly or even directly effect some of the people here. And I know from my experience that sometimes places like BF are the only places to find out about these events, especially when they have happened abroad. And especially for those of us who are living abroad and struggle to stay up to date with the news at home. If possible (which I don't know if it is) could it be made so open replying wouldn't work on the news thread so it contained only news and not peoples discussions and opinions on the contents of the news. What does anyone else think of this? Personally I think it could be very good but then I am known to have some pretty lame ideas. |

dunno - maybe we will discuss the idea - but just remember this - I initially let the thread in question stand - and if it hadnt been for members making paranoid remarks about content -ahum- members making underage sexual references and members making remarks which led to members real life identification then the thread wouldnt have been removed...
over and over and over again we trust in our members to be responsible in thier posting when something of this magnitude hits - and over and over and over again you guyz disappoint us -_- |

Yeah is what I meant when I said I think I know why it was removed. And yes I know I was one of the people going on the whole paranoid trip :bad bad user: Which considering things I have done is a bit pointless really worrying about things like that  Thats why I was thinking that if it was possible to have a non reply thread for the news then it would keep those kinds of discussions out of it and leave it as just a resource for all related news. As the ensuing discussions always seem to take over any news based thread But it is left in your capable hands Southy. If you Gentlemen and Ladies with the power do discuss it I would love to find out what you think. DB |

My feeling is that someone would have to be continually monitoring this thread with regards to allowable content and compliance with our BF Forum Rules.
That is a lot of work. Also, as our Members from all over the world may be posting News articles, they would have to be clearly identified and also attention would have to be given with regard to copyright and rights of usage. And finally, although it would be very interesting to see items from all over the world, people must be aware of the differing legalities with regard to their own region of residency and put the news item into its proper context. Suggestion: Would it perhaps be worthwhile for someone to check out potential sites that already have a News Section, and put it in the Suggested Sites and Links area here for our Members? By the way DB, I think its a great idea to have a feature like this and bravo to you for thinking of it - it could be educational and fun as well. Its the logistics of running it that raises a few issues. This post has been edited by dizzy d on Oct 20 2009, 05:11 PM |

There is another zoo forum that does have a news page which has some very good info on a range of topics that could effect members. Is what gave me the idea |

I started to delete the comments out of the thread in question to move it back on the boards and lock it - however just that fast the link to the article was already dead... this is why a copy and paste of the article is best with the link - so after the link is dead and gone the thread continues to be useful...
until we can deciede about this issue it is probably the approach I will take personally - it was my fault for leaving it open in the first place - I should have known better... |

TBH Southy we should have been sensible enough to not cause it to have to be removed in the first place. So isn't really your fault |
