kimi croons softly enjoying the attention moving her head down so that Tala's fingers carress the tops of her eye ridges. though no words are exchanged she give a sence of her way of saying that all will be well its almost as if you can sence just what Kimi is feeling

I look across at the dragon. "um of course, we should all rest - a lot to take in in a day for you two and we shall need our strength tomorrow I'm sure." I rise and nod at a canvas doorway. The room within is quite low but snug, two wide makeshift hammocks are slung from wall to wall, covered in cushions and heay blankets and there is a heavy, battered footlocker against one wall.

I hope your both ok with hammocks, it's best to keep up off the ground at night, and I'm afraid your together. I smile and roll my eyes. didn't have time to build another guest room since the two of you dropped in.

(I figured you implied you were sleeping in one and we would have to share the other....besides his character is straight. Although I don't think I would mind :devil2: anyways here is that last post revised)

"okay, thanks Dagail. I think I might sleep on one of those logs if I have to go back outside. If you do need me you know where to find me"

*I climb up into the hammock and let the tiredness that has settled into my bones take over and I quickly fall into a deep sleep

*It takes a moment for Dexter to see the ship till he catches the gleaming reflection of the sun upon part of it's hull. Then he can hardly believe what he's seeing. Though well obscured by the soil and foliage that surrounds it. This is clearly a remarkable and massive ship. one that could be the pride of nearly any space fareing fleet. with such clean lines it's almost a shame to see it sitting as it was.

Like something out of a Science Fiction Novel.

*Dexter mutters under his breath. Clearly he was impressed by what he was seeing.

How?

How do we deal with the raptors ?

*Dexter asked as he tried to remember just what he knew about that particular preditor

Tempest looked at Mr.blank when the mention of sharing a single room was presented. He smiled just before speaking.

"No I don't mind...rather wouldn't be alone anyway. Tempest watched as Mr.Blank headed off to bed. Then turned his head to look at Dagail as he spoke.

"Learning how to survive sounds important...Though I haven't slept at night since I got here...was to frightened. I became a night owl out of fear. Though I will try to get some rest. Night Dagail."

Tempest followed shortly after Mr.blank into the room. Climbing into the other free hammock and rolling into it. He sighed comfortabley finding it to be ten times better then sleeping on the ground. Though for now he just laid there looking at the ceiling till he drifted off to sleep himself.

((Vaan))

looking out at the clearing i contemplate the best corse of action.

"well getting past the stranglers will be rather simple i spoted a downed tree that will give us a path through the worst of it. and if the wind stays in the curent direction we should be down wind of the raptors. though i would prefer to slip in unnoticed keep you bow ready wonce we enter the grass. if we stay low and quiet it wont be a problem."

i guess that now would be the best tim to tell him why we brought shields.

"see the vines neer the front of the ship, their friut is eddible though a bit sweet for my tast. the problem is if the vine is disturbed the shoot their thorns. not deadly but the contain a paralizing agent. takes about 3 hours to were off. the only way in is rather close to those vines."

i begin working my way down the tree as the sun finaly lights the entire valley.

"well nows as good a time as any ta get started. oh and if you smell a faint musty reptilian smell let me know it might be a raptor"

I smile faintly after tempest and and stay sat there a while, After a moment i reach to a pouch and take out a set of reed pipes, like pan pipes.

I pipe up a slow, mellow tune, It dances and elaborate tale of hope, dispair, joy and sorrow, I play quietly, something to soothe the other two to sleep and reassure them of my presence but not enough to keep them from rest. By the end of the piece, tears are rolling freely down my cheeks.

I stand, the fire having burnt to embers, and walk over to the open back, the canopy dropping away below me. Here the canvas overhangs the cliff edge a little, to shelter form rain but one can walk right up to the edge and look to the fast churning river that runs along the base of the cliff and the forest beyond. I sit at the edge, bringing my knees into my chest, toes over the cliff. the cold night breeze blows against my face and the moonlight glistens off my tears.

I stay there nearly two hours before drawing a deep breath and standing, walking to my own sleeping section. Inside is a lamp on a desk - another hammock but less blankets. I settle onto the hammock, turning my back to the door and closing my eyes

It was a lot safer by the river

*Dexter says as everything is explained to him. Considering the danger he feels better about leaving Tala behind at the camp.

You better believe I will.

*Dexter states as he clambers down the tree
