Interspecies/(breed)-- Draft Stallion On Pony, Draft/ Pony pics.

They're probably great video but when I click on the thumbnail, I get a pop-up telling me that I need to log-in when I'm already logged in.
Anyway, I can understand why that pony couldn't pregnant anymore. I suspect that horse's big penus had finally stretch the reproductive tract until the Fallopian tubes weren't lined up with the ovaries. What surprises me is that the draft stud hadn't punched a hole through her diaphragm as i've seen it happen when one of my neighbor's big stud got out, jumped the fence, and bred one of my Shetland ponies; it killed her. The only thing that I could be glad about was that it wasn't Peanut. :(

Well, now, THERE's the problem--

She had all the foals she could before I ever got her-- that's why the guy was selling her off. I suspect an internal accumulation of scar tissue prevents implantation.

I doubt the penis would ever reach the diaphragm-- that's up by the lungs-- but the likely result of an "inexperienced" pony and a draft stud would likely be a ruptured vagina, which would likely result in hemorrhage (fast death), or peritonitis (slow death).

I definitely recommend against pairing a pony without a lot of reproductive experience with a larger horse, and then only in increments over time.
Many folks here talk about taking a male Dane, or a pony or jack. You wouldn't do that the first time, would you?

I looked over my post in your reply and noticed that I had left "to" out between "though" and "the". Copper was small enough and the stud was big enough: 17h. The uterus is a pretty strong muscle, and although Copper had had a couple of foals, I don't think that it takes to a rapid expansion so it could have been torn from the vagina. The reason I thought that it might have pierced the diaphragm was she was still alive but not breathing when I got there, she expired soon after.
As for the stud, there was a certain situation, which I'll get to in Journey of Delights, Volume 2, if I can ever get it finished and posted: if anyone is interested.
