So through different things that I've found out about my families sexual interests and those of my own that are similar.
So I'm going to say yes, but I'm curious about what the rest of you think. |

This topic would probably be better suited to zoophilia
I think it can be, but it also depends on how you were bought up and what morals you base your life on. Some people put a very solid wall up, in which case they may not let them selves accept it. |

Well, I think this is a bit of a complicated issue, really. It's possible that it's in our genetics. But I don't really think that's a factor you can really count on for sure. I think just general life experiences brings you to the decisions you make. But I imagine it's kind of like what a lot of people think about with homosexuals. I imagine it has a very similar basis. Who we find attractive, who we don't. It probably a mix of genetics and outside environmental factors.

i would think that it is passed down, if there is some sort of string of people in the past who are/were considered it, more than likely those feelings past down, however subtly through the genetics, i happen to know that there is some in my family, but i DIDNT know while i was making my "decisions" so i think genetics play some factor in it, also, about the environment bit, im not overly sure on that, i live in a family with a gay (my brother) and thats about it, nothing sorta pursuading me to go zoo (or beast) but yeah, i guess it is mostly genetics

What is it about "Do Not Post In This Area" do you not understand?
The Sticky section is for moderators ONLY. Moved to zoo section. |

I think it could be geneticly. As for the environment and how a had been brought up, I didn´t even knowed that there is something like zoo/beast until i became one.

I've always theorized that it's a combination of genetic or environmental factors. By genetic, I don't mean there's any single beast or zoo gene that influences the nature of our attraction, but rather several unknown factors that determine how our brain grows and processes the information it receives from the environment.
Family members share living environments, so in that sense there may be an increased chance of sharing the same life experiences that can lead to beast or zoo attractions later in life, but that is still no guarantee. Environmental factors cover an extremely broad range of categories, and even the smallest, most insignificant of details earlier in life could have a major impact later on. Something as simple as looking out the window and seeing someone walk a beautiful dog could influence an attraction to animals long before it is ever realized. |

Good question, but hard to say because you just do not go around asking family members if they are turned on or into beastiality! So it would be a hard question to know. I had an intuition that an older niece of mine may have an interest. She ended up marring a guy who had 2 dogs and her sister inlaw is a vet , sexy lady at that. But they live far away and we are estranged so I can not , nor would I ask. So as with many things you just never going to know!!

I think it's not inherited. I think it's more the way one grow up or the experiences one makes in life.

No one knows what causes it but I dont think its a trait you pass down, I heard about a study where gay people tend to have certain features like different lengths of fingers, if it is genetic I dont think its a trait that is passed down, more like a mutation, or maybe has to down hormone levels in the mother during pregnancy? I dont know how genes work tho :P

I voted no because in my particular case I wouldn't think genetics are an issue at all. In fact I'd lay money on the fact none of my family or friends have even heard of such a thing and would be thoroughly disgusted at the very idea :(
I can pin point exactly the time and place although it's some 15 years ago that something happened which lodged the thought in my brain ..... much to my own shock at the time. I guess with some it could certainly be the environment etc .. but genetics ..... I doubt it .... |

Again I have to agree with Curious, not in the blood at all. Triggering in the brain by some significant emotional sexual event with an animal, in my case a dog. :inlove: |

*smiles at Pggirl and waves*
In my case it was triggered by a visit to my then boyfriend's friends and their dog who would just not leave me alone. He was constantly burying his head in my crotch or my ass whether I was sitting .... standing ... walking around .... at the time it was very embarassing for me though everyone else thought it was funny. I'd never seen a dog behave like that and I wanted my then boyfriend's friends to like me as I'd never met them before and here I was fending off their dog constantly and I couldn't understand why ! I was the only one he wouldn't leave alone. I never forgot it though and saw a documentary on TV about zoophiles many years later and everything fell into place ..... up til then I never even knew or realised people did have sex with animals .... and realised my fantasies weren't particularly "abnormal" as such ...... |
