My Dog May Be Celibate., He doesn't get any.

I stated in my introdcutory message that my dog does not seem to erect. I've felt bad for him because he's about 8 human years old and has had no kind of sexual activity at all. He's not fixed and is perfectly healthy. Once in a blue moon I will try to masturbate him. I can feel his knot beginning to form, but that's it, he never erects outside his flesh encasement. Maybe he doesn't like it? What can I do to get him to let a load go? I don't have access to any female dogs as of now, nor will I know when I will. Is there something I can do for him? I won't do oral or anal, I'm straight, but I do love my dog enough to wish him this kind of pleasure.

Some dogs re not sexually active others are neutered for over sex...

Need more input to help you out more..

Well, I've had my dog for around eight years. He's a large breeded dog, a St. Bernard mixed with I believe a Sheep Dog or something... He's is properly trained, not agressive at all and usually very passive. Most of the time he's in the house loafing around or annoying someone to take him out (which we of course do). He is fed mostly dry food, sometimes we get canned food and mix it in with his dry food and if we have leftovers we'll give them to him as a treat. I guess he's pretty average.

Has he ever been fixed? (Check to see if he has balls, if he's not fixed they may never have descended) Has he ever shown any mounting behaviors towards dogs, humans, or anything for that matter?

It could be he has low testosterone too. Or even a medical problem that would kill his sex drive. (Or he could just be too dang old to even care about sex...)

Ive had the same problem before. It was with an old dog just like yours.. I think once dogs view humans as non sexual objects for long enough, they just wont be sexually interested in humans.

Sorry, but I tried, and I dont think youre going to be able to get anything out of him.

Sorry to hear this, I am not sure if there is much you can do honestly. Other than using a female in heat to awaken his desires. He might have just shut off his sexual desires since he has never experienced it, and to keep it under control. :thinking:
