Hello, all. I do not know if this is an appropriate post, but which do you like better on dogs?
Long or Short hair?
This is open to discussion for both genders.

tongue.gif long to longer, like Goldens, Collies, Huskies, GSD, and etc........ wub.gif wub.gif

Erm, ok its getting freaky, just had a similar talk with Kimball a couple of minutes ago biggrin.gif

It is appropriate post wink.gif

Well i like both kinds of fur, long and short. Though my preference goes towards long fur like on Huskys and longcoated GSDs but i also like the fur like on Labradors and such...
I like everything fuzzy and furry wink.gif

i think i prefer long fur over all but also like short on rotties and danes but my baby gsds fur is the best its longish and lvely to cuddle and bury my face in

Posted by: razorback Jul 14 2004, 03:22 AM
For me it depends on the texture of the fur.

Long fur like a Husky is lovely.
Like a Collie... Its good, but then IŽd prefere short fur.
Labrador and GSD have a lovely fur texture.

Well, if I have to choose from these two options, I go for long fur...
Like Husky, Bernese...

I seriously love a big soft furry dog. The furrier, the better. But I have to understand that the climate around here is not good for them. A/C is wonderful but there are limits.

Posted by: HairBear58 Jul 14 2004, 06:39 AM
depends on what we,re doing))))
i love the feel of longer roughish fur like GSD,husky, chow
etc weather i,m on the top or bottom, but the sleep at nite and have a
doggie pressed aginst you all nite the short furred and even single coat doggies
like dobies, dals or rotts(even with two coats is sweet too, just to feel them
aginst you all nite,
as far as during lovemaking i dont care how long or short their fur is as long as we both have fun))))))

I prefer short fur.

For me I prefer short fur. I love how when you pet them It feels much more like skin. I do however like gsd's and certain other dogs with medium-long hair. Sometimes you need that good fuzzy feeling. tongue.gif

I prefer longer fur like a Husky or a Setter, but also like short fur as on a Lab. I think more than the fur, I like the temperament of these dogs.

Really long and fuzzy. Hehe dry.gif Althought that's nothing close to the puppy I know and love. laugh.gif

Short. Why? We find it sexier than long fur. smile.gif

I really like the look of long haired dogs. In particular long haired German Shepherds. I am very attracted to long coated GSD.

Posted by: itsonlyme Jul 28 2004, 10:49 AM
short to medium. Not much longer than a golden retriever. Not too keen on those dogs with really long hair that needs constant grooming.

Posted by: BitchFool Jul 28 2004, 11:55 AM
I like both short (labradors, for example) and medium/long (german shepherds and malamutes) coated dogs.Grooming them is fun,I could do that for hours laugh.gif

Posted by: MuNkY Jul 29 2004, 01:00 AM
I've gotta say short, but the texture is more important in my mind

Posted by: Skeezix Jul 29 2004, 05:42 AM
I agree with BitchFool. I've got two GSD's (a bitch and a dog) and an Alaskan Malamute bitch. The malamute's fur is absolutely luxuriant. She is big, soft, warm, fuzzy and loving, really snuggly. tongue.gif And she doesn't shed except for a couple weeks in the spring and a couple weeks in the fall. So the medium long is my favorite.

I've also had doberman & pointer lovers. Their short coat accented their muscles, and made them look ripped and sexy, too. But they aren't very snuggly, and don't feel as good against your bare skin.

hi
it doesn't really matter to me if she has long hair or short....as long as she's friendly and sweet! my dog i have now has real long hair, but i plan on getting another bitch before long...hair doesn't matter...i'll take what i get!

Posted by: ace_petlover Sep 9 2004, 05:28 PM
If given a choice I would pick both becuase

short fur on dogs like danes, dobes, rottys are great while you can have nothing but adoration for golden, great danes and huskies.

If I have to choose one I would go for long fur becuase the warmth and feeling of affection that they give you while you cuddle them is just great.

Long hair without a doubt ,the longer the better.

Posted by: volgmant1 Nov 18 2004, 08:25 PM
i prefer medium to long haired breeds, (male or female). just like when making love to your human, i think it's nice to run your fingers through their hair/fur.

Posted by: Quixor Nov 18 2004, 09:45 PM
SHort has a slight lead with me...but only as a matter of day-to-day practicality....shedding, grooming and such.

Posted by: shadowtiger Nov 18 2004, 10:32 PM
I like long hair, the longer the better.

Posted by: corvine Nov 18 2004, 11:15 PM
Probably short, but only because it's easier to care for. Texture is what really matters.

Posted by: bensdogtoy Jan 13 2005, 03:23 AM
I have a female lab and male golden. I must agree that the lab is easier grooming and she's great to cuddle with. I also admit that I have to spend a lot of time grooming the golden, but I don't see it as work. We both get turned on and I have yet to groom him completely before having to take a break so that we can satisfy each other.

Posted by: sxygirl Jan 13 2005, 06:16 AM
I prefer short. I liked having Rocky's warm, muscular body against me.

Posted by: beast04p Jan 15 2005, 11:03 PM
The feeling of short fur is great compared to long. Also, it's easier to care for.

Posted by: BlueLinx Jan 16 2005, 02:26 AM
I like short fur better. happy.gif

Personally I prefer both long and short hair breeds... Used to love running my hands through "Husky's"(a husky duh smile.gif ) fur.... But as for grooming i prefer short haired... Plus you don't get too much of a mouthful of fur when you give oral pleasure with a short haired.

My 2 cents

Posted by: udpets Jan 23 2005, 08:01 AM
well - i like both! - short coats are, of course, easier to groom and you don't get as much hair in your mouth when you oral your lover and I sort of like to watch myself pleasure her but the kinky thought that the hair of a big coat somehow hides what she and I are doing is kind of a fun thought (you know, if somebody can't see me in her we could do it in public and not be seen! - well so much for that fantasy!) rolleyes.gif

Only been with short haired dogs, would really like to be with a long haired dog.

Posted by: JPbasset Feb 4 2009, 11:52 PM
Short hair, less grooming involved and just looks better to me.

long hair
the furrier the better. wub.gif

Toughie ........ having experienced one of each I liked them both. On a practical level though the short hair is definitely easier to care for ....... although in terms fur / hair on your naked back ...... I think the long hair wins wink.gif

Posted by: Onasi Feb 5 2009, 05:09 AM
I prefer long, better for cuddling. happy.gif

Posted by: k9boi86 Feb 10 2009, 01:13 AM
i'm only really into short haired dogs, not sure why though...just a personal prefference i guess.

Posted by: dr Kaninov Feb 10 2009, 05:10 AM
I like short to medium long fur better, (have known a couple Briard dogs and seen how much dirt and plants gets into them and felt sorry for them)

A Golden is the maximum length I'd go, a Wemiaraner is the shortest (remember the Xolotscuintle dog which has no hair!)

Short hair is easier to clean but there is nothing like long coated St B or Newfounder wrapped around you on a cold night. inlove.gif
But a Pitty with their short coat can slid up over your body almost like silk clothing. inlove.gif
So I guess a short coat in summer and a long coat in winter. eusa_think.gif

Posted by: TechnoSnow Feb 10 2009, 09:54 PM
Medium long I guess you could call it. Like german sheps or golden retrievers. happy.gif

Posted by: rutoop Feb 11 2009, 04:17 AM
I like it short and fuzzy wub.gif
Anywhere from a dane up to a lab, but GSD seem to be a medium-long coat which I also love.

Posted by: LongThinDane Feb 12 2009, 05:47 PM
Everything else being equal, I prefer short haired single-coated dogs like Dobies and Danes.

medium/long I love the feel of soft fur on my back or between my legs as I take my lover.....it's otherworldly.
