You cannot MAKE a horse be submissive. If she is moving away from you, she most likely does NOT want to have sex. If you keep trying and force her- you could end up being kicked.. which is extremely painful and if hit at the right spot, could easily break bones or even kill you.

Signs a horse is in heat include lifted tail, frequent urination, 'winking' the clitoris, posturing and actively trying to seek a stallion...

Signs a horse is in diestrus- not interested in sex: squealing, biting, kicking, ears pinned back, tail clamped.

Some mares may show all signs or only one or two. It sounds like you need to learn more about horses before you try to entice them to have sex. Even when a mare is in heat she just might not feel comfortable around you- especially if she doesn't know you. If you go straight to her back end, she's not going to like that.

Horses are 'flight' animals. they cannot be 'made' to do anything.

You have to approach it from the standpoint of "how can I cause her to *want* to do..."

There's no magic bullet and the fact that you are asking this question *here* indicates that you are not a horse person in the first place. If you are not, then... just... don't...

Happy to be wrong though...

Agree with the above.

How many times has this been asked?

There is no magic smell, place to rub, way to stand, noise to make, special food, or mechanical strap/chain/twitch/harness to make a horse submit. Horsemen (OK, horsepersons--some of the best horsemen have long been of the female persuasion) have been training horses for thousands of years-- If there was a "Special Handshake" that would make a horse (dog, goat, cow, pig, cat, duck) do what you want Right Now, don't you think someone would have leaked the secret by now?
It's always the same answer: Time, friendship, trust, devotion. Make yourself one of the herd, pack, or group. Someone they trust and like to be around. Spend the time and you will be rewarded.
Try to jump her bones, Not so much....... pinch.gif

I'd worry first about whether my animal companion was enjoying what was going on first.
